Mixing w/Bizwala™ is a business networking event for local business in the Las Vegas/Henderson area. Hosted by Bizwala™, a local web design and hosting company. Mixing w/Bizwala™ is a self promoting event to market Bizwala™ in a casual atmosphere. Local restaurants provide complementary space for groups of 20-30 people and a cash bar, with either a food or drink special. Our goal is to provide an opportunity to expose restaurants owners to the business community and expose business owners to different venues to entertain their clientele. Most events happen between 5:30pm -7:30pm on weekday evening, depending on the restaurants schedule. We are very accommodating in our requirements. We only need space to host 20-30 people and to have special drink pricing. Archived E-mail blast. A: We have an email list of 20,000 business owners and business professionals. We send e-mail, press releases and postcards to this group. Q: How many people do you think you will have at these events? A: On an average we have about 20-30 people at each event. We have an RSVP requirement so that we know how many people are coming. Q: What does Bizwala™ get out of this? A: We get our name out into the business community for our web design and hosting services. Q: Why as an owner of a restaurant do I want to host a mixer? A: This is a great opportunity to bring a group of people who might not have known about your restaurant. Since most Mixing w/Bizwala™ events have a cash bar this will also generate some revenue on a slow night. Q: Do I need to hire more staff for that event? A: It’s up to you, but we’ve found that most restaurants do fine with two wait staff and a bartender. The majority of the patrons will be getting one or two drinks and some tend to stay round for dinner. Q: Do we have to have a drink special or food special? A: No, but it would add to the festive mood and generate into more business in the long run. Q: What is the soonest timeline for planning a mixer? A: We like at least 3 weeks in advance so that we can market to our members. We have most of the events at the end of the month, but might change when the holidays come around. |
